Thank you for your edits, unfortunately I had to undo some of your modifications to the species name information. Your edits were correct, but they were undone for technical reasons. This is because we modify the page title to the format "COMMON NAME (SPECIES)" and the species name currently matches the page name. This is necessary so editors can easily identify the page name for linking.
As such, we need to add support for more complex species names while maintaining some continuity.
Cat, Q, what do you think? I feel like we need to have the correct page name in the title. Some of the potential options I thought of are:
- Change the format to "COMMON NAME (SPECIES) [PAGE NAME IF DIFFERENT FROM SPECIES]" but that could get big
- Use the species variable for the shortened nomenclature, and add a full_bio_name variable which will override the species display if its provided, otherwise it will fallback to the species name.
Thoughts?
