Stolen image?[edit]
Hi Algaenon, are you responsible for http://www.e-aquarium.com.au/ ? Can you email me please ASAP?
I notice that the above web site has an illegal copy of one of my images. http://www.e-aquarium.com.au/corydoras-aeneus.htm
Probably taken from this web site. Naughty, naughty.
Let's talk very soon.

Not stolen - in public domain according to wikipedia
Hello Quatermass
e-Aquarium is my site. I always respect intellectual property rights and abstain from being naughty in this area. I used this image after finding it on wikipedia where someone using the name quatermass has released it into the public domain. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Image:Corydoras_aeneus_2.jpg it says Quatermass grants anyone the right to use this work for any purpose, without any conditions, unless such conditions are required by law. Great image by the way, the emerald colored bronze cory is my personal favorite.

Well now that is damn interesting. Did you upload that to Wikipedia Q because some of the names/dates are not adding up. --Brian 00:02, 5 July 2008 (UTC)
- I talked to some of the copyright sluths in #wikipedia about it and they found that the image was uploaded on 12 January 2005 by an IP address and released there under PD. May or may not have been you, but Algaenon surly isn't at fault because the image is clearly labeled as PD there. I'm not sure how they got your name to the image but its there now. If you are sure you didn't release it under PD you will have to take it up with them as my discussion didn't yield any results :) --Brian 00:38, 5 July 2008 (UTC)
Hello again
I have never edited or uploaded anything to wikipedia myself or asked anyone to or know anyone who did upload the cory to wikipedia. I am assuming it could have just been uploaded by Quatermass and mistakingly licensed. If it was uploaded by another I will remove it because I really hate it when people use my images without permission. It is was unintentionally released into the public domain by quatermass I am happy to remove it from e-aquarium because the Aquarium Wiki has been good to me and I am sure you'd do the same for me. I'll watch this space for updates. --Algaenon 5 July 2008
(Dont forget to sign with ~~~~)
I didn't mean to imply that you did upload it to the commons. It was in fact uploaded nearly 3 years ago, and I'm not paranoid enough to think you've been conspiring to steal that image for so long :). As far as I can see you were following the copyright information provided to you. --Brian 02:01, 5 July 2008 (UTC)
It is all good, you asked a question that needed answering so everything is clear, especially under the circumstances. It is a nice image, three years of planning is indeed way past my attention span though :) --Algaenon 03:04, 5 July 2008
It's my fault folks. Sorry.
I did uploaded it to Wikipedia and to the AquariumWiki. The one on Wikipedia I made PD I suppose. Then I guess I forgot I did that! The one on AquariumWiki isn't PD. I'll amend the one on the AquariumWiki so it matches. Only fair to everyone.
