Sexing[edit]
- Mature males will develop a nuchal hump and are larger than females.
Environment specifics[edit]
- As their name suggests, these fish sift the substrate for food so are best kept on a soft sand substrate. Décor should consist of secure rocks and bogwood, substrate-rooting plants will not survive with these fish.
