- From fast-flowing streams in Taiwan.
Sexing[edit]
- Females are probably more plump than males and tend to be larger in size.
Environment specifics[edit]
- Prefers a gravel substrate with large flat river rock décor and fast flowing well oxygenated water. Sensitive to water conditions, mature tanks only.
