Sexing[edit]
- Male has larger pelvic fins, broader/larger head and slimmer sides.
Tank compatibility[edit]
- Peaceful, but can be territorial towards other Plecos. Small fish and fry can be viewed as dinner, keep with mid-swimming fast fish such as larger Tetras.
Diet[edit]
- Omnivore, they eat algae, but will readily accept sinking pellets, vegetables and live/frozen food.
