Identification[edit]
- Quite a striking larger Pleco. Typical Pleco in shape with very long fin extensions on the upper and lower caudal lobes. The body is usually a deep brown to black with no markings although the belly may be slightly mottled. Although rare "deep water" fish have been found that are colourless, appearing to be white/pink in colour and lacking eyes, like the Blind Cave Tetra in that respect.
