Thank you very much. More pictures and details to follow. Huw Powell 03:39, 18 April 2011 (EDT)
Agreed good design, simple. +1. I assume you are going to put it in a housing? --Brian 08:35, 19 April 2011 (EDT)
I will be combining it with my UPS system - what is shown will go where the little (dead) battery used to be, there will be a big external battery, and a nice local 12v supply for the device. So there will never be a nice photo of this device as a "standalone" box, but I will upload the final versions as I slowly get them done of the combined project. Got my battery yesterday and hacked into the UPS, finished it today... IT WORKS! Took photos, will update this article and the UPS one shortly. I am so psyched I didn't let the smoke out of that little 555! Huw Powell 23:12, 4 May 2011 (CDT)

UPS limit?[edit]

How long does the UPS remain on for?

Every UPS I've owned always shutdown after ~20mins. Even a 1200VA one! I contacted APC and they said this is a design feature. Wish it didn't, as the UPS was only lightly loaded with a 20W filter!
