Environment specifics

This fish requires a very large and long tank with subdued lighting. They are fairly unfussy when it comes to decor and any that is added should be secure.


Identification

Can be misidentified as the False Siamese Tiger Fish.
Identification and differentiation between the different species can be based on the Anatomy of the Datnoid Tigerfish, for example by comparing the stripe patterns, fin shapes.
