Origin
- Reefs of the western indian ocean, ranging from Indonesia to the Hawaiian islands.
Sexing
- Difficult to impossible, males tend to be larger than females.
Diet
- Flake as staple diet and mix with live foods and some algae flakes/pellets and occasionally feed blanched veg of a suitable variety (lettuce, cucumber, zucchini (courgette)).
Identification
- Juveniles can be mistaken for Zebrasoma desjardinii.
