Carnivorous, preferring live food. Feed food such as krill, brine shrimp, bloodworm or small pieces of fish.

Environment specifics

Prefers a sandy substrate with plenty of rocks and caves. Will dig in the substrate and kick up a lot of dirt, so good filtration is a must.

Identification

Body is dark green/brown with numerous small white/cream spots. The body is compressed and the head is flat, it has spines on many of it's dorsal and anal fins.
