Tank compatibility[edit]
- Should be kept in large shoals as this fish will nip and chase it's own kind, a large shoal of at least 8 individuals will spread this behaviour out and avoid serious injuries. Should not be kept with slow-moving long-finned fish as they will be fin-nipped. It is otherwise peaceful towards tank mates and should not be kept with anything very boisterous or predatory. Fish such as Upside-Down Catfish and Kribensis can work well in a spacious enough set up.
