I have 2 Flying foxes and 2 Siamese Flying foxes in a 4" 250L tank. The 2 Flying Foxes don't like each others company very much and tend to stay away from each other and will chase the other away. But no harm it seems is done.

The Flying foxes also don't like the Siamese and will chase them to the other end of the tank if they spy them intruding into their territory . This doesn't stop the Siamese coming back though 10 minutes later. Again no harm is ever done.

I've yet to observe after a year the Flying foxes doing any active algae eating. Though I've seem the Siamese doing this hundreds of times.

The Siamese love to rest on plant leafs, the Flying foxes will jam themselves between gaps and be vertical or even upside down for hours in these gaps.

  • I wouldn't buy any more Flying foxes. I would buy further Siamese Flying foxes without hesitation.
