Edit with Form Error[edit]

Paging Cat, looks like the edit with form button breaks the pictures and identification section. See the repair I just made. --Brian 18:49, 15 September 2015 (UTC)

Alright I suck with getting a good id gold fish varieties. This is a nice shot I would like to add but I can't tell what it is. http://www.flickr.com/photos/12074797@N00/40334022/ the page says Oranda but its not a listed category (either omitted or wrong). Catxx? You seem to be our expert so far. Also can you check the couple I did add to this page? :)

that is indeed an oranda, not seen black ones before. weird how i seem to be an expert yet am probably the only person in the world who's never owned a goldfish!--Cat 14:11, 25 June 2008 (UTC)

to have all those common names, specifically things like veiltail and common, linking straight to goldfish may confuse people, should they say veiltail goldfish rather than just veiltail? --Cat 14:17, 3 July 2008 (UTC)

The idea is more to start getting common names directing to more meaningful purposes. For example when another fish as a common name of common, it will provide the link instead of the text. When you go to the link while its redirecting to the gold fish page you turn it into a disambig page linking to both. The idea is to help searches get around. I looked at the terms users were using to search and it alot of single words, like 'snail', 'birchir' etc. Your right that the name common is to ambiguious, same with veiltail since it can point to bettas too. When that happens we should take it out of the category, but link to both articles. Pleas see modifications I'm making in a few min to Veiltail. This is just my humble opinion, certinally up for debate. --Brian 14:39, 3 July 2008 (UTC)

veiltail link?[edit]

The link in other names to veiltail goes to a disambiguation page, which just redirects to this page. I am not very familiar with this wiki and I have no idea of how to fix this, because of different formatting.

hi there, not quite sure what you want to fix? veiltail needs to go to a disambiguation page as the term "veiltail" can apply to more than one thing. --Cat 20:25, 21 April 2009 (UTC)
