Origin[edit]

They are found on reefs across the Indo-Pacific, from China to Queensland.

Sexing[edit]

Nudibranchs are hermaphroditic, however they do not fertilise themselves when breeding and will pair up, with both individuals then laying eggs.

Tank compatibility[edit]

Not recommended for keeping in captivity due to their sensitivity.

Diet[edit]

Extremely fussy eaters, the Notodoris Minor exclusively feeds on calcareous sponges belonging to the Leucettidae family.

Environment Specifics[edit]

Very delicate to changes in their environment. Requires an SG of 1.023-1.025.

Behaviour[edit]

Constantly on the prowl for food, they are a form of sea slug therefore move quite slowly and can be a target for boisterous fish.

Identification[edit]

This nudibranch is a member of the Doridoidea family, it has a broad flat foot with it's gills midway along it's body hiding under 3 lobes. It's coloured a very bright vivid yellow, including the rhinophores, and this is criss-crossed with thin black lines, as if it's been splashed by black paint.
