What is it?[edit]
Amplexus (Latin "embrace") is the act of coupling that species of frogs perform to mate.
Other forms[edit]
Axillary amplexus[edit]
is when the male frog grasps the female around the armpits.
Lumbar amplexus[edit]
is where the male frogs grasps onto the hind legs of the female frogs.
