Herbivore

An animal that eats primary vegetable protein. Though it will eat animal protein occasionally.

Fish that subsist on a diet consisting only of vegetables are referred to as obligate herbivores.

Typical examples of popular herbivores are Mollies, Platies or Malawi Mbuna Cichlids.

  • They eat plants, algae, and fruits.
  • Hebivores typically have no stomach and just have a long intestine. This means they need to feed several times a day.
