Origin[edit]

Reefs of the western indian ocean, ranging from Indonesia to the Hawaiian islands.


Sexing[edit]

Difficult to impossible, males tend to be larger than females.


Diet[edit]

Flake as staple diet and mix with live foods and some algae flakes/pellets and occasionally feed blanched veg of a suitable variety (lettuce, cucumber, zucchini (courgette)).


Identification[edit]

Juveniles can be mistaken for Zebrasoma desjardinii.
