Identification[edit]

An elongate Tetra that is silver iridescent in colour with large scales. It gets its common name from the two sets of black spots, one at the base of the caudal fin which has some yellow hues around it, the second set in the mid-section of the fish on the lateral line just behind the dorsal fin. All fins are otherwise translucent, the caudal with some black edging.
