Terapontidae

Terapontidae, or Grunters/Tigerperches, belong to the order Perciformes. They are found in shallow coastal waters in the Indian Ocean and western Pacific, where they live in saltwater, brackish and freshwater habitats. They grow up to 80cm (31.5") in length and feed on fish, insects and other invertebrates. There are 15 genera and 52 species in this family.
