Is this too much, or just right? What do you think of this? I've tried to include all I know so far, I have some more to add later. --Cat 11:06, 13 February 2008 (CST)

Its quite a bit, but for now I think its fine. --Brian 17:50, 13 February 2008 (CST)

once i've got all the information i want up there, i'll divide it all up a bit so it's easier to read somehow, maybe more pages to it. --Cat 04:28, 14 February 2008 (CST)

male v female[edit]

Hi Cat, can you verify this statement "males will display elongated ventral fins, a rounded caudal fin and a sharply pointed anal fin. ". My female Bettas have sharply pointed anal fins. See photo link on this article page. :-)

how pointed? males have got quite long points, plakat males on this variations page. I have seen some "confused" females with pointed anal fins and no oviposter, and males with oviposters, some do break the rules! --Cat 21:01, 27 October 2008 (UTC)

Pointed enough? See my image. Maybe the text should just read that the anal fin is shorter? Rather than being definitive?

it is more rectangular shaped than males, hang on i'll see if i can do a mspaint job on it. --Cat 19:21, 28 October 2008 (UTC)

Ahhh. When you said pointed fin I thought you meant the rear end of the fin. The diagram makes it very clear. We should use these as a guide. --Quatermass 19:22, 29 October 2008 (UTC)

good plan! --Cat 09:56, 30 October 2008 (UTC)

Would you mind if I made new versions, sort of pretty them up a little? --Quatermass 21:31, 30 October 2008 (UTC)

go for it!--Cat 23:11, 30 October 2008 (UTC)
