- There must be a reasonable amount of substrate for this fish, either sand or small gravel, as this is a burrowing fish. A tight fitting lid is a must as this fish is also an excellent escape artist!

- A distinctive elongated fish with a pale blue upper body and fins, very pale belly and vivid yellow head. It's head is quite short and rounded with the large eyes set well forward. The dorsal and anal fins are long and extend the length of the body, while the caudal fin is short and rounded.
