Help:Contents/Images and media/Image Quality Guidelines
From The Aquarium Wiki
[edit] Overall Quality
Some of the criteria of a good quality image are as follows:
- The main subject of the image should be in focus.
- Lighting should be sufficient to see identifying characteristics on the specimen.
- Should be big. An uploaded image of 200x200px is much less useful then 2000x2000. We do not have a limit on image storage or uploads, so please send us the largest copy of the image that you can. We automatically scale it down for use on the pages.
[edit] Copyright Tags
Some images have a copyright message or URLs displayed across them (called tags). These are a major drawback when considering image quality. We always respect copyrights, but will always ask or opt to use a non-tagged image where possible.
